General Questions

Q: My product has not shown up or something else has occurred that has made me unhappy.
A: Please, by all means, contact us. We would like every opportunity to work with you to make your shopping experience with us a pleasant one. We will make every effort to come to some equitable agreement with you regarding the issue at hand. And, of course, we want your repeat business and would like you to refer others to our store. That won't happen if you are unhappy with us.

Q: Do you sell your products to anyone?
A: We will sell our products to anyone who can effectively make payment for their purchases. The only exception we have is in our knife product line. We will not sell any knife product to anyone under the age of 18 years old.

Q: I am looking for a specific product you don't carry. Can you get it?
A: We may be able to find it for you. We will need some time to do the research as to it's availability, price and so on. Contact us with the item information if there is something in particular you are looking for and we'll see if we can find it.

Payment Questions

Q: What are my payment options in paying for my purchases?
A: Our preferred method of payment is through Paypal, however, we also accept money orders and cashier's checks. We accept money orders from the U.S. postal service, 7-11 convenience stores and from major banks. We also accept cashier's checks from major banks but please note they will be verified as valid before your order is shipped. To expedite your order a money order is a better choice of payment. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.

Q: I'd like to pay with my credit card. How do I do that on your site?
A: We use Paypal exclusively for all our credit card transactions. It is fast, easy and secure. You do NOT need a Paypal account to use Paypal to pay with a credit card. If using your credit card just submit your order through your shopping cart and a confirmation page will then appear containing a link to Pay Pal's secure payment page. On this page you'll be able to complete your transaction with either your credit card or your Pay Pal account, if it exists.

Q: I've never used Paypal. What is it?
A: PayPal is convenient - you may send and receive money through the internet and there are no charges to you for your purchases. Paypal is safe - when you pay with your credit card, bank account, or PayPal balance your sensitive personal information is never exposed to anyone. Paypal is easy - you can speed through checkout without retyping any of your personal financial information (if you have an exisiting Paypal account already). Best of all, Paypal is free - you pay no fees for making purchases or sending money. If you have not used Paypal before and frequently make online purchases you may want to consider opening a free Paypal account.

Shipping Questions

Q: How soon can I expect my order once I place it?
A: Once we receive payment we usually ship within 1-3 days. Note that we have no control over the carrier (for example, the U.S. Postal Service) for delays in you receiving your order in a timely manner once your order has left our facility. In most cases we will insure your order as part of the shipping process.

Q: What carrier will you use to ship my order?
A: We will usually use the cheapest method of shipment to save you money. In most cases this will be the U.S. Postal Service, however, on larger orders that are excessive in weight it may be more financially feasible to use UPS or FedEx.

Guarantee And Product Warranty Questions

Q: Do you have a money-back guarantee?
A: Yes, we offer a full 30-day money back guarantee on all our products. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will refund your purchase in full (less return shipping). Customers will need to contact us for a return RMA (return mechandise authorization) number. Returns must be received by us in the same condition “as shipped” and resaleable by us including the item packaging. Any merchandise received outside the allotted 30-day time frame or without a proper authorization number will be refused. For your protection, return the merchandise, pre-paid and insured, by US Post Office or UPS ONLY. Trail Treks is not responsible for returned merchandise lost or misdirected by the carrier.

Q: Do your products come with any kind of warranty?
A: In most cases our products come with a limited lifetime warranty guaranteed against material and workmanship. Lifetime warranty of knives is subject to specifications of factory defect. Defects do not include normal wear of knife handles and blades, or damage caused by use of the product for purpose other than intended. An example of this might be using a knife as a hammer, screwdriver, pry bar or other 'tool' for which its use was not intended. Any handle material may crack over time; cracks are not considered defects after 30 days from purchase. Should any parts or workmanship prove defective, Trail Treks will repair or replace the part or parts at no cost to the purchaser, unless the product is returned more than one year after purchase, in which event the purchaser must include $3.00 with the returned product to cover shipping and handling in returning it to you. This is the PURCHASER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY for returned products. In no event shall the purchaser be entitled to recover incidental or consequential damages, except to the extent that such damage derive from injury to the person in the case of consumer goods. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Please inspect your purchased item(s) for any defects. Defective products must be returned by insured mail; postage prepaid, accompanied by the original dated sales slip and name, address, and telephone number of the purchaser, along with a written description of the defect. Returns will be handled on an individual basis; please call to get a return authorization number if you wish to return a defective item.
